Here 4 the Apres

While the main reason I love Val Thorens so much is the Apres Ski. Alot of the reason why I visited this resort 3 times is that its included with the full Epic Pass (not the Epic Local Pass!). And so many people like to emphasize that European resorts are only $50 a day. That’s not true anymore, prices have gone up and Val Thorens 1 day adult pass is 72 Euros in the 2022/2023 season and a 6 day pass is 360 Euros. And while compared to Vail at ~$250 a day, that is cheap, after already paying $900 on a ski pass, I don’t want to spend another $360 for a week of lift tickets in Europe when I could get it for free with my Epic Pass. For those of you who are happy to pay another $360 for something that is free anyways, feel free to just send the money to me!

Its very easy to exchange your Epic Ski Pass for the 3 Vallees Pass. Just bring your Epic Pass with your Passport to one of the ticket offices during their business hours. See map above, all the red square numbers list are the ticket offices. It just takes a couple minutes. They will ask if you want just Val Thorens or all 3 Vallees. Choose all 3 Vallees so you have options. Also they’ll ask you if you would like heli-evac coverage. I get it every time because its only 3 Euros a day and that is way cheaper IF you need to be helicoptered out due to a serious injury!
