Le Malaysia Val Thorens is another famous apres ski nightclub in Val Thorens. It is basically the latest shift of the apres ski parties in Val Thorens, if you think you can survive until 4am. The other option popular option is Klub Summit.
I haven’t gone to Le Malaysia since 2020, but perusing the latest reviews in Tripadvisor makes it seem like alot of guests are having bad experiences with the bouncers there. I will describe my experience there back in 2020, but you can use your own discretion on deciding if you would like to check it out.
Where is Le Malaysia Val Thorens located?
Le Malaysia Val Thorens is located at the top of the Castor & Pollux magic carpet, near the Galleria Caron. When you first see it, it just looks like a tiny hut with a waffle stand, but the nightclub is actually underground and collected to the Galleria Caron.
What days and times is it popular to go to Le Malaysia Val Thorens?
Malaysia is open from 11pm-4am everyday, but usually it doesn’t become happening until after midnight. I have never not seen a line to get into Malaysia, doesn’t matter what day of the week. When I went in January of 2023, there was a line to get on the Saturday I arrived past midnight into Val Thorens, and when most people arrive into the resort. When I was coming out of Wild and Savage on a Wednesday at 1:30am, there was also a long line to get in.
How much does it cost to get into Le Malaysia Val Thorens?
According to the Malaysa website, all of December 2023 is free admittance. When I went in 2020, it was Afrojack performing, and we bought a combo ticket that included the night party at Malaysia and the day party at 360 Val Thorens for 40 Euro, so approximately 20 Euro each.
Will Le Malaysia Val Thorens check ID?
Yes absolutely, be sure to bring a form of ID. I usually use my passport, but be sure to keep it on you, not in your coat in case they lose your coat! The legal drinking age in France is 18 years old
Is there a coat check at Le Malaysia Val Thorens?
Yes, in 2020 coat check cost me 2 Euro. I always take a picture of my coat check number in case I lose it. Which is how I actually knew how much coat check cost because I found a picture of my coat check in my iPhone camera roll!
What is the vibe and type of music at Le Malaysia Val Thorens?
According to their website, they have a band start at 11pm, and then switch to a DJ that goes until 4am.
How much do drinks cost at Le Malaysia Val Thorens?
I don’t remember drinks being very expensive. I believe it was 5 euro per glass of prosecco in 2020.
What is the restroom line like at Le Malaysia Val Thorens?
I can’t remember if I used the restroom when I went, but I know that they will charge, and it’ll probably cost $0.25, so make sure you bring change with you.
